California Energy Commission Staff Report

In September, 2009 the district applied to the California Energy Commission’s Bright Schools Program. This program provides free technical assistance in evaluating facilities for energy efficiency and a feasibility study that results in further recommendations regarding energy efficiency.

Over the past year, the California Energy Commission (CEC) has analyzed energy-related data collected from the District and has compiled a report with recommendations that focused on lighting systems, solar photovoltaic installations and solar pool heating systems.

Both the Lighting System/PV System Report, and the Pool Heating Analysis Report are being reviewed to determine the next steps to be taken by the district.

"Our Mission is to Provide a Quality Educational System that Assures Opportunities for Every Student to Learn and Meet the Challenges of the Future."
