The Fairfield-Suisun USD participates in the CA Instructional Time and Staff Development Reform Program (Buy Back).

The Fairfield-Suisun USD participates in the CA Instructional Time and Staff Development Reform Program (Buy Back). Because of this, the teacher contract is for 184 days of work PLUS one mandatory day of professional development. Each F-SUTA unit member is contractually obligated to complete one day of professional development between July 1 and June 30 of the contracted work year. Failure to complete the mandatory one day of Buy Back will result in one’s pay being docked and will effect one’s STRS retirement credit for the school year.
