They will also learn how to insert links to other useful websites for students and parents.

Functional Writing, Part II for grades K-6

Functional Writing II focuses on the required elements of the three types of writing-argument, informative, and narrative for grades K-6 based on the Common Core State Initiative's Implementing the Common Core State Standards. Using the Common Core State Standards English Language Arts & Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects, Appendix C: Samples of Student Writing, participants will discuss student writing samples to get a deeper understanding of the criteria necessary to meet the Common Core State Standards. In addition, participants will generate and learn teaching techniques for each type of writing.
