Located midway between Sacramento and San Francisco, Fairfield and Suisun City combine rural surroundings with an urban flare. The community is situated in the heart of an agricultural valley bordered to the north by the Vaca Hills and to the south by Suisun Marsh. This unique geography places Fairfield east of the Bay Area fog zone and results in an ideal climate, with mild winters and summer evening cooled by a gentle delta breeze.
The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District encompasses the towns of Fairfield (pop 103,000) and Suisun City (pop 28,000). Both Fairfield and the waterfront community of Suisun City offer Bay Area living with a small town feel. Although less than an hour from downtown San Francisco, the cost of living and housing prices are considerably lower than most of the Bay Area.
