Technology The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District is proud to support its schools with the latest in educational technologies. Two of the three comprehensive high schools have recently been designated digital high schools by the State. Specific technologies available at sites throughout the district include:
Preparatory Time Teachers in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District are provided with preparatory time in the course of the school day. Primary teachers are allotted a 25 minute prep period and secondary teachers are given a daily free period. Teachers are also provided with collaborative time as per district/contract procedures. New Teacher Support The Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program was created to aid teachers new to the profession. First and second year teachers receive assistance from full-time counseling teachers and are given release time for conferences. District-sponsored professional development seminars are offered for professional enrichment and/or “buy back” days. Offerings range from seminars on enhancing basic student skills to instruction in the use of complex graphic design and video production software. |
