Technology Support Services

Technology is critical to the success of the educational and business operations of the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD). A rich and robust interactive classroom provides an engaging leaning environment where all students can interact with resources, both in the classroom and from around the world. A powerful and reliable data center and infrastructure allows the business operations to be effective in supporting the many aspects of the District.

The Technology Support Services Department is responsible for implementing and supporting technology resources that address the needs of all staff and students in the District. Our team of technology professionals provides support services to all operational divisions of FSUSD. The Technology Support Services Department supports the District in the following manner:

Help Desk

The Help Desk provides telephone support for all District employees. They are Level-1 support and take care of most computer issues.

Desktop Support

Handles installation and support of all desktop systems. Provides break/fix support for all desktop and notebook computers.

Infrastructure Support

Maintains communication systems that link all District facilities.

Network Operation

Manages and supports all data center services, as well as site-based servers.

Database Services

Supports our Student Information System and provides custom database design. Supports various District web servers.

Technology Training

Provides class-based and individual training on use of technology resources.

For technology to be effective, it should be easy to use, easy to understand, and transparent to the end user. Technology should be readily available to assist our educators in providing an engaging learning environment for the children of this community and to serve as a catalyst for success. We understand the importance of a technology environment that enhances education, supports the business operations, and provides the necessary tools to promote a quality education.

Our goal is to provide a robust computing environment where access to disparate resources is transparent to the customer. We research and implement enterprise-level solutions that meet the educational and business goals of the District. We seek technologies that are reliable, effective, and affordable. We provide a level of service that ensures that resources are available on demand.
