Printers

We have selected a variety of printers that meet the needs of the Distict. Select configuration(s) from below and use the following information to complete the requistion process. All orders require a quote number. If a desired configuration is not listed, contact the Information Technology department to determine eligibility and to obtain a quote number.

Inkjet printers are not recommended for District use. Although the cost of the printer is low, ink cartridges are expensive and result in a high "cost per page." Also, inkjet printers frequently break and ink cartridges clog, resulting in high support costs. The Information Technology department provides only connectivity support for inkjet printers. No troubleshooting or repairs of equipment will be provided for inkjet printers.

We no longer purchase or repair Lexmark printers. This is a result of a lack of local authorized repair locations (additional shiping costs) and the inability to obtain repair parts. Lexmark printers will be supported until the unit fails or we are unable to find an affordable repair option. Toner for Lexmark printers is still available.

Note: Printers do not come with USB cables. All listed printers are network capable and USB cables are not required. USB cables for desktop printers can be purchased from Office Depot/Tech Depot. Contact Purchasing for ordering information.
